Frequently asked questions
Do I need a clinical background to take this course?
A strong foundation in functional health knowledge such as an NTP, FDN-P, ND, DC, MD or otherwise, is recommended to take the Level 1 HTMA Practitioner course and beyond.
Are there pre-requisites to take this course?
No, you are not required to have specific pre-requisites, however, please be advised that the content of HTMA interpretation you will be learning is based on health concepts. A strong foundation in functional health knowledge is recommended as a base before taking this course. All of our Academy’s Practitioner courses are for qualified health practitioners / professionals only.
Is this course CE-accredited?
Some professional boards recognize HTMA training for CEUs. Check with your licensing organization for eligibility. We have CE credits available via the Canadian Association of Natural Nutritional Practitioners, the International Organization of Nutritional Consultants, the Institite of Holistic Nutrition as well as the Naturopathic Nutrition Association.
What’s the difference between Level 1 and Level 2?
The Level 1 HTMA Practitioner Course is for those that are looking to understand hair tissue mineral analysis interpretation, as well as protocol composition. This is where you learn the basics to get HTMA into your clinical practice. The HTMA Practitioner Level 2 course expands on that knowledge to teach the “why” behind the concepts and the emotional side of mineral balancing. This is where we dig deeper into biology, pattern movement, and advanced protocols. We strongly suggest having our Level 1 Practitioner Course complete prior to level 2, or an equivalent for HTMA training to have a solid foundational background to support the next level concepts around hair tissue mineral analysis.
Is there a payment plan option?
Yes, there is a payment plan option which is 3 equal payments over a 3 month period.
How long do I have to complete the course?
All students have lifetime access to course materials, including any future updates that may be released. The course may be completed at your leisure, however, we suggest writing the final exam within 30 days of finishing the Practitioner Advisor Live Support Calls for the semester you are attending.
