HTMA Level 2 Practitioner COURSE
next course will be january 2025

Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis is used worldwide by clinicians, practitioners and scientists. In a single hair sample, the tissue is stable over time and provides several months of biochemical activity versus just a snapshot from blood work.  Obtaining the sample is inexpensive and non-invasive, and can be completed without medical intervention.  It makes it a great screening tool for any client to understand their basis of health.

Our Level 2 HTMA Practitioner Course was specifically designed for those that have training in analyzing hair tissue mineral analysis tests and are specifically looking to advance their knowledge.

The HTMA Level 2 Practitioner course is an advanced level of HTMA interpretation and requires the completion of 1 of the prerequisite courses (identified on the application) and a valid health practitioner certificate or professional license.

THIS COURSE WILL RUN AGAIN IN JANUARY 2025

Learn why minerals are the
spark plugs of life

Curriculum

Class 1

This class will provide a comprehensive overview of the basics including optimal ratios and levels, as well as re-introducing the 9 Rules of Mineral Analysis. In this class we will also cover: the charts of understanding the sub-types for energy efficiency and the autonomic nervous system, the stress response cascade to fully understand the movement of minerals during acute and chronic stress, and as well we will cover the life cycle of HTMA patterns based from birth to death. Lastly, we will dig into the explanation of the movement of patterns, why they happen, what they mean and ultimately providing the depth to know if a retest is actually "good" or "bad". Case studies will be included.

Class 2

In this class we will look calcium shell, causes and symptoms, just as a review; we will correlate this with supplementation, the stress cascade and what elevated calcification really means to the body.  In this class we will discuss why iodine is so critical in most of these cases, review the iodine blood and HTMA deficiency markers, review how to use iodine and when to implement for the greatest success.  We will also review case studies including Lugol's iodine and talk specifically about using iodine with those that have elevated antibodies, as well as thyroid nodules.  Case studies will be included.

Class 3

In this class you will learn all about the emotions that are tightly wound up into the mineral system.  This will help you to identify a client's personality traits and even moods.  We will work through a common pattern of childhood trauma and then dive deeper into the rabbit hole of Copper Toxicity.  Talking through symptoms, causes, and why hidden and overt copper dysregulation are treated very differently, even when supplementing with minerals.  We will also address blood markers and conversions, as well as binders, and why they are so important when copper toxicity is present.  Case studies will be included.

Class 4

We start this class looking into iron overload, alongside how copper affects this and the potential role of manganese, as well as addressing some speculation about manganese toxicity.  We will dive deep into the importance of ceruloplasmin and correlate HTMA iron to blood panels to talk about the relationship, as well as correlate it with infections and markers that might be present on a GI-Map test.  We will also discuss how to treat someone with iron deficiency anemia based on their overall picture.  Case studies will be included.

Class 5

In class 5 we are going to learn about the emotions and how they too can be tied up in heavy metals present in the system.  How these emotions may affect someone's life and also present the Biological Replacement of Elements Theory; why chelation without mineral supplementation is a spinning wheel.  We will discuss heavy metal strategies, initial approaches and advanced approaches once the body gets stronger and metals begin to move.  We will continue our deep dive into binders, identifying which binders might be appropriate for the metals you may see on a client's test.  Case studies included.

Class 6

In this class it is all about analyzing movement of patterns on HTMA.  Which pattern movements are positive, which might be negative, which might show that the body has more work to do.  Learn to confiderntly review a retest and know where the client's journey is going, and how to treat it.  We will also talk about the 4 highs pattern, what does it mean and how do we treat.  Lastly we will be discussing chronic 4 Lows; when this happens, what do you do?  How do you support?  What other things should be considered?  How do you gain momentum to see results?  Case studies included.

Lisa is certified in Functional Diagnostics, which bridges the gap between clinical nutrition and functional medicine, through the Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Institute in the US.  She is a Board Certified Holistic Health Practitioner with the American Association of Drugless Practitioners, a Hair Mineral Analysis Practitioner, and a multi-time Kettlebell Sport World Champion.  She is currently in the process of becoming a Holistic Carnivore and Equine Nutritionist.  Lisa is a long-standing member of the Association of Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Professionals, a member of the International Society for Orthomolecular Medicine, an affiliate with the International College of Integrative Medicine, and a health, wellness and fitness advocate.  She discovered HTMA years ago and studied initially under Dr. Rick Malter, PhD, a pioneer of HTMA research in clinical practice for over 40 years. Lisa chose to specialize in mineral balance after this specific diagnostic test identified the true root cause of her chronic fatigue and estrogen dominance.  Lisa recently moved her entire practice to a virtual platform, previously practicing with the Active Health Institute.  Lisa works exclusively with HTMA, but is certified with access to a multitude of diagnostic tests.  Lisa has helped 10s of thousands dig to the root cause of health issues by focusing on mineral balance and a holistic approach.  She most recently expanded her team practice to include a focus on animal HTMA testing.  The tremendous power of what HTMA can identify in dogs, cats and horses has changed the lives of 100s of animals.

Lisa is the Founder of Vykon Supplements, and the head of research and development.  Vykon is a multi-divisional company that includes: Vykon Performance & Foundational Supplements, Vykon Customs, Vykon Pets and Vykon Equine.  Vykon Customs was created by Lisa in 2019 to simplify protocols for clients, containing everything needed for mineral balance, making them easy to use and solving the increasingly common problem of pill fatigue.  Vykon Custom powders are the first ever, all-encompassing supplement completely based on HTMA science.  Vykon has most recently expanded their custom powders to include custom formulations, based on HTMA, for dogs, cats and horses.  Lisa is also part of a consortium of Mineral Experts and the Co-Founder of the HTMA Virtual Summit, which celebrated its inaugural year in 2020.  Lisa co-hosts the Summit to provide excellence and authenticity of HTMA education by bringing some of the World’s Experts together annually to share their knowledge.  The HTMA Virtual Summit is a hub for HTMA and mineral resources for continuing education in mineral studies for Health Practitioners, NDs, DCs, MDs, and Nutritionists.

Lisa mentors Health Professionals on HTMA for humans and animals.  Her popular Human Optimization podcast runs on all podcast channels including: Apple Podcast, Spotify, iHeart Radio, Google and can be viewed on YouTube.  Lisa and her team are on a mission to help the world live and perform better with mineral balance.
